Introducing the UYT Second Stage Series

The UYT Second Stage Series is a brand-new performance opportunity created to give performers more chances to be onstage throughout the year, especially for students who:

• Can’t commit to a 3-month show process?

• Want additional performance experiences?

• Want to try theatre for the first time?

• Didn’t get cast in another production?

• Thrive in smaller, more focused rehearsal processes?

• Or just love theatre?!

Second Stage shows rehearse over 3–4 weeks with shorter rehearsal times, low-pressure environments, and an emphasis on fun, collaboration, and community-building.

About the Show — HOMESCHOOLED

A playful, modern comedy full of silly surprises, big characters, and laugh-out-loud moments, Homeschooled follows a group of students navigating the wonderfully unpredictable world of learning from home. Between quirky lessons, imaginative classmates, and unexpected chaos, this show celebrates creativity, curiosity, and bravery in the most joyful way.

With tons of roles and moments for every performer to shine, Homeschooled is perfect for young actors stepping onto the stage for the first time or returning students eager to be a part of another show. This Second Stage Series production offers a warm, supportive environment where kids can explore storytelling, character creation, and teamwork all while having a whole lot of fun.

TECH WEEK

All cast members must be present for tech week.
Tech focuses on transitions, spacing, props, and polishing the final performance.
