This leadership-centered camp empowers middle and high school students to step into the director’s chair and lead the creative process. Guided by UYT teaching artists, students will learn how to shape scenes, work with actors, build strong stories, and discover their artistic voice. This experience gives young leaders the tools, confidence, and vision to direct — both onstage and beyond.

What we’ll explore:

• How to analyze a script and build a director’s vision

• Tools for communicating clearly with performers

• Blocking scenes using movement, levels, and stage pictures

• Leadership skills rooted in respect, collaboration, and creativity

• Problem-solving during rehearsals and developing cohesive shows

Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (earliest drop-off at 8:30 AM)
Dates: June 8-12 (Monday-Friday)
Location: The Music Village – 333 S Michigan St, South Bend, IN
Final performance will take place Friday, June 12 from 3:00–4:00 PM.

Cancellation Policy:
If your child can no longer attend, please notify UYT at least 72 hours before the camp so we can offer the spot to another student. No refunds are available after this window, but credit may be issued for future programming at UYT’s discretion.
