Youth Leadership Opportunities at UYT
At UYT we’re proud to offer meaningful youth leadership opportunities not just onstage, but behind the scenes as well. Roles on our Creative Teams are designed to empower students to take on real responsibility, develop leadership skills, and contribute thoughtfully to the artistic and collaborative process.
Through these roles, students grow not only as performers and artists, but as communicators, problem-solvers, mentors, and collaborators. Youth leaders help shape the rehearsal room experience, support their peers, and model the values that make UYT a safe, inclusive, and creative space for every kid involved.
We are thrilled that you interested in serving on a 2026 UYT Creative Team. UYT believes theatre should be accessible, welcoming, and empowering, and we intentionally create multiple pathways for students to participate and lead. Whether onstage or behind the scenes through directing support, stage management, design, choreography, or production assistance every role matters and every contribution helps bring our mission to life.
Serving on a Creative Team is both an opportunity and a responsibility. Students selected for these roles are trusted leaders who help uphold UYT’s culture, support younger participants, and collaborate closely with adult mentors and artists. This experience is meant to challenge students, build confidence, and provide meaningful leadership opportunities that extend beyond the stage.
